Teyana Taylor broke the internet after the debut of Kanye‘s “Fade” video, as viewers rushed to look up the hot body star of the clip.

The singer and actress is now prepping for a new role she landed in VH1’s hip-hop drama, The Breaks, and she will also appear on the network’s game show, Hip Hop Squares – based on the long-running game show Hollywood Squares.

THR reports:

Inspired by Dan Charnas’ best-selling book The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip-Hop, The Breaks centers on three friends trying to fulfill their hip-hop dreams in New York City in 1990. Following the TV movie that aired in VH1 in January, the series will continue to explore their triumphs and heartbreaks as they attempt to make their mark in a new and complex hip-hop culture.

Taylor will recur as a rapper discovered by Nikki (Afton Williamson), who is one of the first artists signed to the label that Barry Fouray (Wood Harris) is launching. The actress-singer joins a cast that also includes Mack Wilds (90210), Antoine Harris (Ballers), David Call (The Magicians), Evan Handler (Sex and the City), Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale Station), Sinqua Walls (Power) and Ali Ahn (Billions).

In an interview with Vogue this week, where she talked the “Fade” video, Teyana also opened up about other projects, including The Breaks, and new music.

“I’m working on a new album,” she said. “I’m actually trying to drop a new record in about two days. I also remixed the “Champions” song with Kanye, Big Sean, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz. This video was such a surprise for me; I’m sitting here trying to rearrange everything! I’ll also be a character on The Breaks, which is a show on VH1 about ’90s hip-hop. And now the newest thing on my agenda is definitely to get this DVD going!”

Although she says it’s been a long time coming, she admits that all that she’s gone through, “makes this moment so much more special.”

“It’s emotional because I’ve been in the industry for so long and I’ve never understood why certain things weren’t happening,” she explains. “And now I feel like my story, everything that I’ve been through, makes this moment so much more special. Though it took so long for this to happen, I don’t feel like it could’ve happened at a better time.”
