VH1 has announced that T.I. will be joining the cast of, The Breaks, as a recurring character. The ATL rapper will take on the role of Paul Anders – a big shot lawyer hired to defend Barry Fouray’s character, played by Wood Harris.
The Breaks movie, which originally aired on VH1 earlier this year, chronicled the journey of three friends united by their love of hip-hop, as they work to make their big mark in the music industry – and the series will be a continuation of the film.

The singer and actress is now prepping for a new role she landed in VH1’s hip-hop drama, The Breaks, and she will also appear on the network’s game show, Hip Hop Squares – based on the long-running game show Hollywood Squares.
Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart are joining forces for a new show, Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party, heading to VH1.
According to the network, each week, the duo will invite some of their A-list pals over “for a half-baked evening of cocktails, cooking, conversation, and fun where nothing is off limits.”
Lil’ Kim is set to be honored during the return of VH1’s Hip Hop Honors, joining fellow rappers Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah and Salt-N-Pepa (featuring DJ Spinderella).
“I’m so humbled to be a recipient of this years @vh1 #HipHopHonors Award,” Kim wrote on Instagram, in announcing the news to her followers. “My fans are truly amazing and the best is yet to come! #LilKimSeason #Beehive #GodisGood.”
With VH1’s Hip Hop Honors making its grand return next month after a six year hiatus, the network has began to unveil the trailblazing women set to be celebrated. Missy Elliott and Queen Latifah are two of the honorees.
Missy will be honored for the success she’s achieved and maintained over three decades. The rap powerhouse has six albums and five Grammy Awards to her name, has sold more than 30 million records in the United States and has a host of hits, which include “Get Ur Freak On,” “One Minute Man” and “Work It.”
VH1’s Hip Hop Honors is making its grand return this summer, to shine the light on all of Hip Hop’s showstopping first ladies.
According to VH1, “the show will pay homage to the female pioneers, trailblazers and trend-setters who lead a movement and infiltrated the ranks of the male-dominated genre to make their voices heard and still do today.”
Lil Wayne may be hitting the television set with a new VH1 reality show – Lil Wayne’s House – according to Young Money’s Stephanie Acevedo, who revealed the news while speaking with plastic surgeon, Dr. Miami.
“We just got a contract with VH1,” she says. “We’re going to be doing a reality show that we’re gonna be shooting in July in LA.”
Amber Rose has landed her own VH1 talk show, set to premiere this summer. According to Deadline, the series – produced by Dr. Phil and Jay McGraw’s Stage 29 Productions will find Amber interviewing celebrity friends about pop culture, motherhood, relationships, friendships, race and entrepreneurship.
“I am very excited to be joining forces with such an amazing network to deliver a fresh perspective on the primetime talk show,” states Amber (via THR). “Join us as we break all the rules and redefine late-night. Watch out Fallon, here comes Muva!”
