Solange will be making her way to Saturday Night Live next week, in her first-ever appearance on the show, as musical guest.
She’ll hit the “SNL” stage to perform two songs from her chart-topping album, A Seat at the Table – which nabbed the songstress her first No. 1 album earlier this month.
Drake will be making his return to “SNL” this Saturday (May 14th) as host and musical guest, and ahead of his appearance NBC debuts a hilarious promo clip, starring the “One Dance” rapper and Saturday Night Live cast member, Leslie Jones.
After getting in a couple of feels on Drake’s butt, they have a seat and Leslie runs a couple of sketch ideas by him – both include her spanking him like a baby. When she suggests he take a seat on her lap to finish off the promo, though reluctant, Drake obliges.
After releasing her new single, “In Common,” late Tuesday, Alicia Keys took the song to Saturday Night Live, where she performed it live – and also debuted a new track, “Hallelujah.” With her curls pulled up into a ponytail, Alicia stepped away from the piano she was playing on stage, to groove to “In Common.”
“You know by now that music means everything to me and it was so special to share new songs with you live from the @NBCSNL stage tonight,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you and so much more to come.”
With his Views album projected to sell over 850,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week, Drake is set to return to the Saturday Night Live stage on May 14th.
The “One Dance” rapper will be pulling double duty, according to Vulture, as host and musical guest – just as he did in 2014.
Future made his Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend; hitting the stage with Jonah Hill – who filled in for Drake on “Jumpman” – and The Weeknd for their EVOL collaboration, “Low Life.”
“This is my fourth time hosting, so I thought I’d mix it up,” Jonah said, before Future appeared on stage. “We have an amazing guest tonight — Future. I am such a big fan of Future, I figure let’s just kick things off with a musical performance with Future featuring Drake.” It turned into a Future/Jonah Hill performance, with Drake not being there.
Nicki Minaj took over Saturday Night Live over the weekend, with performances, and a couple hilarious roles. During a skit called “Jingle Ballerz” – a hip-hop version of the Nativity Story – Nicki played Beyoncé, while James Franco and some of the “SNL” cast members took on the roles of Rihanna, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Justin Bieber, Eminem, and Riff Raff.
“No, no, no. This moment is not about me. Let everybody have their moment, Nicki said(in her Beyoncé voice). “This moment is about my baby boy. Behold.. he woke up like this. Flawless.”
With a month remaining until Looking For Myself drops, Usher took his talent to Saturday Night Live.
Usher rock’d the house performing “Scream” and “Climax” from his forthcoming album Looking For Myself, set to release June 12th.
Rihanna was all smiles as she made it back to her NYC hotel Thursday.
The busy songstress had a day of promos and a photo shoot for her appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Looks like the still photos and video clips she put out to build suspense for her highly anticipated “Where Have You Been” video paid off.
