Rihanna‘s ANTI world tour rolled into Texas over the weekend, with shows in Dallas, Houston and Austin. While in Austin, RiRi hit up The Lodge on 6th street, where she left the bartender a $200 tip.
According to TMZ, although the Bajan star’s tab was only $82.25, as she took it easy on the drinks with a show the next day, she left the fat tip after her and her crew’s short visit.
While in getting in a break from her ANTI world tour dates, Rihanna will be taking to the stage at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
The “Work” star will be joining artists like Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Pink, amongst a list of others – plus, Madonna is set to honor Prince with a performance.
A number of students will be getting a helping hand from Rihanna as they head off to college. The “Work” singer has announced the launch of her Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) global scholarship program, which will award scholarships to international and U.S. students who plan to continue their education in college in the United States.
“To be able to give the gift of an education is actually an honor,” says Rihanna. “Higher education will help provide perspective, opportunities and learning to a group of kids who really deserve it. I am thrilled to be able to do this.”
Rihanna‘s Drake-assisted single, “Work,” recently broke the Beatles record when it spent nine weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and the song is now certified triple platinum, as of April 29th.
In addition, on the same day, her ANTI album was certified double platinum; earning RiRi the first 2X multi-Platinum album of 2016. The album went platinum in less than 48 hours after its release.
Drake’s new Views album is out now, featuring appearances from Rihanna, Future, PartyNextDoor, Pimp C, Wizkid and dvsn – and ahead of its release, he chatted with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, where he opened up about the LP and more.
In addition to discussing creating Views and how it will be received, he talks collaborating with Kanye West and landing him and Jay Z on “Pop Style.” He also reveals that he hasn’t really spoken to Nicki Minaj, but will always have respect and love for her, talks teaming with Rihanna again, and explains the best lessons from his parents.
Rihanna‘s new DJ Mustard-produced single, “Needed Me,” gets the video treatment. “Didn’t they tell you that I was a savage?” RiRi asks in the song’s lyrics, and she proves just how savage she can get when she strolls through a strip club with a gun to take out a man (possibly lover) – as he sits, getting a private show.
The NSFW finds Rih in a sheer robe, with nothing but a thong underneath, and also shows footage of dancers inside the club. She also switches it up with a metallic jumpsuit.
The crowd at the 2016 Coachella Music Festival was in for a surprise on Sunday night, when Rihanna joined Calvin Harris during his closing set. As the music from her song “We Found Love” began playing, Rihanna appeared on stage in a cropped tee, red, white and blue fringe jacket, and denims – to perform the song.
Last week, news surfaced that the “Kiss it Better” singer tied The Beatles record for second-most total weeks at no. 1, with her Drake-assisted single, “Work,” landing at No. 1 for eight eight consecutive weeks.
Rihanna has a new beauty line on its way. The “Work” star has inked a deal with the Kendo division of LVMH to do a complete makeup collection.
According to WWD, estimates of what LVMH may have paid to make the deal run as high as $10 million.
