Rev. Run and his wife, Justine Simmons, will be starring in and producing a new family comedy that has been picked up by ABC.
Written by Jeremy Bronson (The Mindy Project), the yet to be titled comedy centers around a legendary rapper whose plans for slowing down are thwarted when his wife decides to pursue her own dreams and stardom.
Tyrese and Rev Run join forces on their new OWN series, It’s Not You It’s Men, with new shows Saturday nights. Over the weekend they sat down with Amber Rose, where she revealed she gets “sexually assaulted constantly” by fans.
After telling the hosts that when she walks down the street, people think that because she’s famous, “or I’m cool and I’m taking pictures, that they can just grab my a** or put their hand under my skirt or, ‘Oh Amber, can I come grab your boobs?’ – Tyrese suggests that the comfortability some people find in wanting to touch or grope her, is a result of the energy that is sent out there.
Tyrese and Rev Run‘s OWN primetime series It’s Not You, It’s Men has gotten a premiere date. According to Billboard, the show is set to make its debut January 23 at 9p ET.
The two co-hosts will discuss their differing perspectives on relationships and marriage in front of a studio audience. Tyrese’s Fast and the Furious costar Vin Diesel, singer Jordin Sparks and comedian Marlon Wayans are among the guests slated for the talk show’s eight hour-long episodes.
Tyrese and Rev Run, who collaborated on the New York Times bestselling book Manology, will be hitting television sets alongside one another in a new yet-to-be-titled talk show about men and relationships, that’s been picked up by OWN.
An ordained minister and father of six, Rev Run (aka Joseph Ward Simmons) and Tyrese, a single father, will be joined by a primetime studio audience and celebrity guests. Via social media, viewers can ask the pair questions about men, relationships, marriage and sex.
