Lil Wayne Jail Memoir ‘Gone ’Til November’ Due In October


Lil Wayne‘s jail memoir, Gone ’Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island, has gotten a release date of October 11th. It was initially announced in early 2012, with a release planned for November of that year via Grand Central Publishing – but Gone ’Til November will now be published by Plume, an imprint of the Penguin Group, the company (Plume) confirmed with NY Times.

A representative for Penguin said the book was “taken directly from Wayne’s own journal,” with no co-writer, and will “reveal the true story of what happened while he was at Rikers Island, exploring everything from his daily rituals to his interactions with other inmates to how he was able to keep himself motivated and grateful.”

Taraji P. Henson Announces Release Date For Her Memoir ‘Around The Way Girl’


News of Taraji P. Henson penning a memoir that would be released in 2016 surfaced last April – and the Empire star took to Instagram today to show off the front and back cover of the book, Around the Way Girl, and to announce that it will arrive on October 11th.

“I love to  play all kinds of characters, and I was trained to do exactly that,” she wrote in a statement that appears on Simon & Schuster’s website. “But whether it’s Cookie from Empire, Queenie from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Yvette from Baby Boy, or rocket scientist Katherine Johnson from Hidden Figures, they’re characters. As for the real me, I’m just a girl who went to Hollywood with my son, $700, and a dream. There were some detours along the way, some heartache, and a whole lot of hustle.  My family, friends, and fans always keep it real with me. Know that I’m going to keep it real with you.”

Fantasia Drops New Song ‘So Blue’ + Reveals Album Cover, Release Date


Fantasia is readying the release of her new album, which she revealed is titled, The Definition Of… Along with the LP’s cover (above), the songstress has released a new track, entitled, “So Blue.” On it, she finds herself down and out over a love she’s lost, but says “all good things, they must end.”

“I’m so blue, so blue, so blue, so blue,” she sings on the hook. “Crazy and gone over you.. oh you, oh you, oh you.”

Drake Confirms ‘Views From The 6’ Release Date + Drops New Album Trailer


Following a report that surfaced online last week, stating Drake‘s hotly-anticipated Views from the 6 album will arrive at the end of the month, he’s confirming the news.

While assisting with hosting on Saturday night’s episode of OVO Sound Radio, Drizzy announced that “Views” will drop on April 29th. He says the LP is something he and 40 have been working really hard on. “Trying to craft a lifestyle track.. a sound for our city.”

Beyonce’s Topshop Clothing Line Gets A Release Date


Late last year it was announced that Beyoncé has partnered with Topshop on a new company focused on streetwear-inspired activewear, and now the clothing line’s release date has been revealed.

According to Huffington Post UK, CEO Phillip Green, confirmed that the athletic fashion range (Parkwood Topshop) will hit stores in April 2016 – and will be sold in 20 countries.

August Alsina Reveals ‘This Thing Called Life’ Cover Art & Release Date + He Unloads A New Trailer


August Alsina unloads a new trailer for his album, This Thing Called Life, and also reveals the cover art and release date.

According to the New Orleans crooner, his album will arrive on December 11. In the accompanying trailer, directed by August and Payne Lindsey, he tosses and turns in the bed while his mind races with so many thoughts. “I gotta do more. Money changed everything,” he says. He’s also seen at the bathroom sink with bottles of prescription drugs – one is open with pills that have fallen on the counter.
