Nicki Minaj And Ariana Grande To Perform ‘Side To Side’ At MTV VMAs


Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande are joining forces again, this time, at the MTV VMAs to perform Ariana’s “Side to Side” from her Dangerous Woman album.

The duo hit the stage together at the 2014 VMAs, kicking off the show with Nicki’s “Anaconda,” Ariana’s “Break Free” and their collaboration with Jessie J, “Bang Bang.” They will be joining previously announced artists, Rihanna (Vanguard Award recipient), Future, Britney Spears and Nick Jonas featuring Ty Dolla $ign.

Kendrick Lamar & Janelle Monáe Perform At The White House For 4th Of July Celebration + President Obama Sings Happy Birthday To Malia


Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe paid a visit to the White House for the 4th of July party, on Monday. In addition to Kendrick and Janelle performing at the event for military veterans and their families, President Obama also took a moment and had the crowd join him in singing “Happy Birthday” to his daughter, Malia, who was celebrating a 18th birthday (Happy Birthday, Malia!).

K-Dot performed a medley of his songs, that included “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “Money Trees” and “Alright,” while Janelle’s set included “Electric Lady,” “Q.U.E.E.N.” and a tribute to Prince, as she rock’d “Let’s Go Crazy.”

Beyoncé And Kendrick Lamar Open The BET Awards With ‘Freedom’


Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar rock’d the crowd at Sunday’s BET Awards with an powerful, surprise performance of “Freedom” – a track from Bey’s platinum album, Lemonade.

The stage was set up with the same shallow pool seen at Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour. The lights were dimly lit as she stood in the water alongside her dancers, before launching the performance. “Freedom! Freedom! I can’t move. Freedom, cut me loose!,” she sang while rockin’ a patterned fabric and mesh leotard. “Freedom! Freedom! Where are you? ‘Cause I need freedom too!”

Stevie Wonder Added To Prince Tribute Lineup At BET Awards + Erykah Badu, Jennifer Hudson & More Set To Perform


Stevie Wonder has been added to the Prince tribute to be performed at the BET Awards on Sunday (June 26th). He will be joining Janelle Monae, Sheila E. and The Roots, who were previously announced as part of the tribute. Stevie also joined Madonna at the Billboard Music Awards last month to pay tribute to legendary singer.

At Wednesday night’s PRE – the annual kickoff to the BET Awards – BET chairman/CEO, Debra Lee, teased that the June 26th awards show will be a can’t-miss affair.
