Paula Patton opened up about dating following her divorce from Robin Thicke, in a sit-down with ESSENCE’s “Essence Live.” The Warcraft star says that it has been fun and interesting, and also admits that being alone was scary in the beginning.
“It’s been fun and interesting and I’ve learned a lot about myself and a lot about a lot of other people and what I like and don’t like,” she said.
Paula Patton has filed for divorce from Robin Thicke, and is asking for joint custody of their son, Julian Fuego, TMZ reports:
Paula cites the usual … irreconcilable differences. She wants joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son Julian. The divorce was filed in L.A., so there will be no issues over whether Robin may have strayed. It’s irrelevant. We’re also told the divorce is “harmonious,” and there are no real issues that will cause a conflict. Paula says the date of separatin was February 21.
Paula Patton brought some sunshine to the Independent Spirit Awards, making her first red carpet appearance since her separation from husband Robin Thicke. Paula stepped out in a yellow lace mini dress, paired with nude heels.
The actress took to Instagram with a message that seemed to be addressing her separation, it read: “Everything Happens For a Reason. If you love something let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours. If it doesn’t, it never was, and it’s not meant to be.”
Paula Patton kept a smile on her face, as she was spotted out on Wednesday, for the first time since she and husband, Robin Thicke, announced their separation earlier this week. After touching down at LAX, the 38-year-old actress was snapped as she made her way through the airport.
A source told Us Weekly that Robin was hoping to be successful in convincing his wife to have a change of heart:
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have separated after being married nearly ten years. On Monday, the couple issued a joint statement to PEOPLE, saying that although they’re going their separate ways, they will remain friends:
We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.
