Beyoncé Responds To ‘Lemonade’ Copyright Lawsuit


After dropping her Lemonade album in late April, Beyoncé was sued by an independent filmmaker, Michael Fulk, who claimed that the “Formation” singer stole his ideas to create her LP.

Beyoncé has now responded; filing documents saying the lawsuit holds no merit, due to Lemonade and Fulks’ 2014 short film Palinoia having completely different narratives.

Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ Is Certified Platinum


Beyoncé‘s Lemonade album has officially gone platinum – giving the “Formation” singer six platinum solo albums. The set earned the RIAA certification on June 6, and the trade organization tweeted the news, writing:

“Queen [B] is now 6 for 6 with #RIAAPlatinum or higher albums!  #LEMONADE is Platinum, @Beyonce! Congratulations!”

Fat Joe and Remy Ma tap Jay Z to make a guest appearance on the remix to their French Montana and Infrared-assisted smash hit, “All The Way Up.”

During his verse on the track, Jay Z breaks his silence on Beyoncé‘s Lemonade album, which had the world abuzz with rumors, following its release. “You know you made it when the fact your marriage made, it is worth millions. Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is. I get more props and stunts than Bruce Willis,” raps Hov. He also adds, “We never gon’ let the elevator take us down.”

Serena Williams Talks Her Cameo In Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ Visuals


Serena Williams recently opened up about appearing in the visuals for “Sorry,” from Beyoncé‘s Lemonade album. The tennis superstar explains how the cameo came about, and says that it was about strength and courage.

“I have known the director since I was like nine years old. I know Beyoncé pretty well, so they were like, ‘We would love for you to be in this particular song. It’s about strength and it’s about courage and that’s what we see you as.”’

Beyoncé Nabs Sixth No. 1 Album With ‘Lemonade’


Beyoncé has nabbed her sixth No. 1 album with Lemonade. Following reports that Queen Bey was on her way to claiming the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart with over 500,000 copies of the LP sold – Billboard now confirms the set sold 653,000 units in the week ending April 28, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 485,000 were pure album sales.

Lemonade scores the biggest week of any album in 2016 (both in terms of overall units and in sales) – after debuting Saturday, Apr. 23rd.

Beyoncé‘s Lemonade album has arrived, and is available exclusively on TIDAL. In line with her hotly anticipated HBO special, the “Formation” singer debuted the visual album, which, per the music streaming service, is “a conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing.”

The HBO event, broken into a series of segments (i.e. “Denial,” “Anger” and “Apathy”), and narrated the story of a woman going through those variety of emotions.
