Beyoncé Responds To ‘Lemonade’ Copyright Lawsuit


After dropping her Lemonade album in late April, Beyoncé was sued by an independent filmmaker, Michael Fulk, who claimed that the “Formation” singer stole his ideas to create her LP.

Future Drops Lawsuit Against Ciara


Future has dropped his lawsuit against Ciara, because he’s getting more time with their son, Future Zahir – reports TMZ.

The site says that sources close to the rapper say he wants to smooth things over at being granted joint custody of their two-year-old son. Future reportedly is worried that going after Ciara in court will lead to her continuing in her efforts to restrict his custodial rights, and he says his son is more important than a court judgment.

Book Club Members Kicked Off Wine Train Settle $11 Lawsuit


Members of the Sistahs on the Reading Edge book club, who were kicked off the Napa Valley Wine Train for allegedly laughing too loud, have settled the case for an undisclosed amount. The group sought $11 million in damages, after two of the women stated they lost their jobs as a result of the fallout.

According to the NY Times:

One of the women, Lisa Johnson, of Antioch, Calif., said Wednesday that she could not discuss financial details of the settlement that was reached through private mediation last Thursday with the company, the Napa Valley Wine Train. “The matter was resolved on terms acceptable to all parties last week,” Ms. Johnson said.

Lil Wayne is reportedly suing Universal Music Group for $40 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Weezy is suing UMG and SoundExchange for millions he was shorted from his work “discovering, developing, and nurturing” Young Money artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.

Ciara Files $15 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Future


Ciara has filed a $15 million lawsuit against her ex, Future, on accusations of libel and slander. According to theJasmineBRAND, the “I Bet” singer is asking the judge to order Future “to refrain from negatively speaking about her and stop trying to ruin her career, along with demanding 15 million dollars in damages from the rapper.”

The last straw for Ciara, the site reports, was Future’s tweets stating she would not allow him to see his son for over a year, and accusing her of having control problems. He also said he had to go through lawyers to see baby Future despite paying her 15k a month.
