Black Girls Rock! 2016, hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, was held Friday night. The annual celebration of black women, featured performances from Monica, Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, and Gladys Knight — and Rihanna, Shonda RhimesAmandla Stenberg, Danai Gurira, and Black Lives Matter founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi, were among the honorees.

Kelly Rowland, Erykah Badu, Gladys Knight and many more attended, plus, there was also an appearance from presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Kelly Rowland Creating Own Makeup Line: ‘Definitely Making Sure We Have Our Chocolate Girls Covered’


While chatting with ESSENCE at an event sponsored by Claritin and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Monday night, Kelly Rowland revealed that she’ll be launching a makeup line specifically for women of color.

Kelly says that she’s teaming with her makeup artist, Sheika Daley, on the line, which will start off with lashes, before expanding.

Kelly Rowland and her son Titan take over the cover of Parents magazine’s latest issue. The “Motivation” songstress looks fab in a gray cutout dress, while little Titan is too cute in a blue, black and white one-piece suit.

Inside the issue, Kelly talks losing her mother, Doris, and how Titan helped her get through that tough period. She opens up on initially being nervous about being a mother, “I didn’t have the patience to be a good mom,” she admits – and also dishes on losing her baby weight and gives advice to other new moms.

Kelly Rowland Gushes Over Her Son Titan, Says He’s ‘Definitely Living Up To His Name’ & Reveals Who He Has A Crush On


Kelly Rowland appeared on The Real yesterday, where she gushed over her 1-year-old son Titan. Kelly says that her cutie pie is definitely living up to his name already. “We have to kind of calm him down right now, because he’s just so aggressive and tough,” she says while laughing – and Adrienne Bailon chimes in with “He is strong.”

Kelly goes on to mention who Titan is crushing on. “It’s so cute because he has a crush on Adrienne now,” she says. “It’s so cute because our nanny comes in and she speaks this most beautiful Spanish to him. So, Adrienne comes in and she starts speaking Spanish to him and he’s like [she leans to one side].. he like leans in. And he doesn’t do that with anybody, so it’s really interesting. I’m like okay.”

Beyoncé And Kelly Rowland Visit L.A.’s Hammer Museum [Photo]


Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland paid a visit to L.A.’s Hammer Museum on Tuesday. According to the Los Angeles Times, the ladies were joined by Bey’s mom, Tina Knowles Lawson as they watched shows by artists Frances Stark and Njideka Akunyili Crosby.

They spent about two hours at the museum, a spokesperson for the museum revealed – and while there, met a few of the museum’s curators and also took a photo with assistant curator Jamillah James (seen in the above photo), who organized the Crosby show.
