Ciara has dropped her defamation lawsuit against Future. TMZ reports that the singer’s lawyer, Larry Stein, just filed legal documents dismissing the remaining libel claim she filed in response to negative comments Future posted about her.
According to the site, to win a defamation lawsuit, one has to prove financial suffering, and being that Ciara is actually making more money now than before Future’s comments, she has no damages.
Future has dropped his lawsuit against Ciara, because he’s getting more time with their son, Future Zahir – reports TMZ.
The site says that sources close to the rapper say he wants to smooth things over at being granted joint custody of their two-year-old son. Future reportedly is worried that going after Ciara in court will lead to her continuing in her efforts to restrict his custodial rights, and he says his son is more important than a court judgment.
Drake‘s highly anticipated Views album has finally made its arrival. Formerly titled Views from the 6, the Toronto rapper’s 20-track album includes features from Rihanna, Future, PartyNextDoor, Pimp C, Wizkid and dvsn.
Drake is also prepping for his Summer Sixteen, joint tour with Future which has had new dates added since it was initially announced.
Over the weekend, Drake unleashed a new single, “Summer Sixteen,” from his upcoming album, Views From the 6. The track made its debut on Drizzy’s Beats 1 show, OVO Sound Radio, and finds him taking shots at a few people – including Meek Mill.
In the first verse, it’s said that he’s addressing Meek about a night he happened to stay at the same Four Seasons hotel as him and Nicki Minaj, and decided to let his dis track roll. He raps:
Kendrick Lamar has surprised fans with the early release of his highly-anticipated sophomore album, To Pimp a Butterfly. The follow-up to his 2012 debut good kid, m.A.A.d city hit iTunes Sunday night, when it was initially scheduled for a March 23 release.

CBS has permanently edited a song featuring Rihanna‘s voice out of its Thursday night NFL telecasts, following an angry message she tweeted involving the network.
Just to catch you up.. days ago, it was announced that CBS would use Jay Z‘s “Run This Town” featuring Rihanna as the theme music for this year’s Thursday night football. But, as the incident involving Ray Rice punching his then fiancée made headlines, the network pulled the song from its inaugural Thursday night football telecast, with Sports president Sean McManus saying Rihanna’s own history as a victim of domestic violence was part of that decision, but not the overriding one.
Mariah Carey has severed ties with manager Jermaine Dupri. According to Billboard, the multi-platinum diva has parted ways with her longtime musical collaborator, and has been working closely with Kevin Liles.
The news surfaces on the heels of the release of Mariah’s 14th studio album, Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse, which has sold 103,000 copies since its May 27 release.
