Beyoncé‘s mom, Tina Lawson, took to Twitter to speak out about talks of her not telling the truth about Beyoncé’s exit from the BET Awards, following her “Freedom” performance with Kendrick Lamar.
Ms. Tina appeared on stage to accept Bey’s awards, and when addressing the crowd while accepting her award for Video of the Year, she let everyone know that Beyoncé left immediately after her performance to catch her flight to London – as she was gearing up for the European leg of her Formation World Tour.
Solange turned 30 on Friday, and she headed to San Patricio, New Mexico with a group of friends and family, including her sister Beyoncé, to celebrate. Bey and Jay Z flew in for the night, ahead of Sunday’s BET Awards.

The stage was set up with the same shallow pool seen at Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour. The lights were dimly lit as she stood in the water alongside her dancers, before launching the performance. “Freedom! Freedom! I can’t move. Freedom, cut me loose!,” she sang while rockin’ a patterned fabric and mesh leotard. “Freedom! Freedom! Where are you? ‘Cause I need freedom too!”
After debuting the video as part of her Lemonade album, Beyoncé brings on the visuals for “Sorry” – which includes a feature from Serena Williams – as a video of its own.
As the video premiered, it had the internet abuzz with Serena’s appearance; dancing alongside Bey – and the song’s lyric about “Becky with the good hair,” sent the Beyhive on the hunt for who Beyoncé could have been referring to.
Beyoncé and Jay Z touched down in Hawaii with their daughter, Blue Ivy, for some rest and relaxation. Bey shared photos from their tropical vacay, which comes ahead of her kicking off the European leg of her Formation World Tour next week.

Beyoncé and Jay Z were spotted courtside at The Q in Cleveland, watching the Cavaliers take on the Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
Beyoncé stepped out gorge in a blue pantsuit and heels, while Jay Z was fresh in an all black ‘fit and white sneakers. The couple was captured on the Jumbotron; Bey smiling, and waving shyly as “Formation” played in the background.
During the Detroit stop of her Formation World Tour on Tuesday, Beyoncé paid her respect to the victims in Sunday’s Orlando nightclub shooting by dedicating herclosing number, “Halo,” to them.
“This next song is about love,” she said; addressing the crowd as she walked through a shallow pool of water. “And I’d like to dedicate it to all of the family members that had family lost who lost their lives in Florida.”
As Beyoncé brings fans out to her Formation World Tour, the singer has also been doing her part in contributing to the Flint water crisis.
On Monday, Parkwood Entertainment – the entertainment and management company founded by Queen Bey – presented United Way of Genesee County with a check for $82,234.
