Gabby Douglas’ impeccable talent has garnered the attention of one the most prestigious HBCU’s in the nation; Spelman College.

TMZ reports that Spelman is heavily recruiting Gabby - and can you blame them? The president of the college, Beverly Daniel Tatum, made a trip to London to present the gymnast with a gift bag, and sources have named her as their number one recruit.

Tatum released the following statement to TMZ:

“A young woman who has demonstrated the drive and discipline needed to achieve world-class excellence is likely to have what it takes to be successful at Spelman, and we would welcome her interest in the college.”

Spelman is putting forth a lot of effort to get Gabby on their campus, so we’ll have to keep an ear out for word on what she decides.
