Nicki Minaj called in to The Breakfast Club yesterday morning, to talk with Angela Yee, Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy about her weekend and more.

She opened up about meeting her idol, Lauryn Hill, at the TIDAL concert Saturday night. “Oh my God. Such a surreal moment,” she said. “I couldn’t control myself. I was at a loss for words. She was super sweet and gracious, and I was not expecting that.”

Nicki explained that the Marie Claire cover that was unveiled last week was actually shot months ago – as well as the cover story – and says that she loved everything about it – from the writer to the photos.

She also talks Young M.A., saying that it’s something about her that she really loves, and says that DeJ Loaf is dope. Plus, she reveals that she has a collab with Fetty Wap that’s coming soon.

When talking what music she’s working on, Charlamagne tells her he wouldn’t mind a Beam Me Up Scotty II, and she responds telling him, “My fans are gonna, like, love you right now for saying for that. Because they’ve been trying to talk me into that for a long time.” And, she adds that if she was working on a mixtape, she wouldn’t tell anybody, she’d just surprise her fans with it.

She also discussed her twerking from Saturday night, saying that the one during the TIDAL concert she had reservations about because the photogs were supposed to leave at that time, but didn’t, and she was concerned about the still photography. She says the dressing room twerk was the good one, because she could let loose.

Nicki sends a shout out to the fans who came to the show and talks Jay Z and Beyoncé complimenting her on her performance, during their after show dinner.
