It’s been a long journey back to the hardwood for Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose, after his season ending ACL tear (he just recently returned to the gym).
The NBA baller stepped out in Chicago yesterday for the unveiling of D Rose 3 - signature basketball shoe, new logo and apparel collection. As part of the promo, Adidas’ “The Return” video played; chronicling D Rose’s return from his injury. He gets pretty emotional, and when asked what is some of the inspiration he’s getting from his fans he responds;
“It’s truly a blessing. With all this stuff that’s going on in this city, a kid from Englewood got something positive going on. That makes me feel so good. This shoe is great – all this is great. But, I can’t explain this, I can’t. I went through so much and to have like true fans, that means a lot to me, and I know it means a lot to my family. Because we ain’t supposed to be here at all, but God made a way…this is truly unreal. I’m just happy that I have true fans out there.”
The D Rose 3 signature collections drops October 4th.
