Columbus Short was released from jail early Thursday, after spending six days behind her bars, confirms Entertainment Tonight.

The former Scandal star was originally sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating his probation from a 2014 assault case, and was also ordered to do six months at an in-patient drug rehab program. Columbus’ drug test results showed that he was using marijuana.

“I’m feeling grateful for the learning lesson and I’m fully accountable for my mistakes,” the actor told ET. “I’m ready to get to work and never go back to that place. God is good.”

Columbus had been participating in the Pasadena Recovery Center Outpatient Treatment program, but missed a week due to the death of his stepsister, according to his lawyers. He will resume his treatment there.

He also has a progress report hearing scheduled for June 28.
